Toni’s Tarot Club.
Monthly meetings for anyone interested in tarot. We practice readings, share knowledge and socialise.

You do not need to know anything about tarot in order to join in with our meetings. Whether you are an absolute beginner, or a more proficient tarot student, you will be welcome. It is a non competitive environment for people with the same interest to study and make friends.

We generally meet about once a month on a Monday evening between 7:30 and 9:30.

Tarot Workshops

I run tarot workshops suitable for both beginners and advanced students.

Each workshop has a theme and structure although I work on a very interactive basis and much prefer to teach students what they wish to know rather than what I wish to teach them.

Recently I have run workshops on:

How the Minor Cards in tarot relate to the Major Cards.
A 5 hour workshop training students to see the inter-relation between the minors and majors, emphasising how the minor cards grow out of the major cards and are not some stand alone unit.

The Three Card Spread.
A 5 hour workshop training students to see the rhythm and pattern within a reading, to trust their intuition and to see beyond stock interpretations.

For all workshops I prefer students to work with a simple Marseille style deck or something similar. I do not teach a set deck and very much gear my tuition away from the Waite Deck, or Waite styled cards. I believe that the tarot is a system in its own right and does not need pictures on the Minor Cards. More often than not these pictures block the students intuition rather than aiding it.

My favourite decks are the Balbi Tarot, The Thoth Deck and Marseille Tarot.

For workshops you may bring along any deck that you are comfortable with.

All workshops are held in Surrey close to Farnham and Guildford, just off the A31 Hogs Back.

Tarot Workshops in 2006

A series of five one day tarot workshops building into a complete tarot course suitable for both beginners and more advanced students.

Each workshop is a stand alone unit and does not depend on attendance to any of the other five sessions in order to benefit.

All Workshops run from 10:30 to 16:30
There will be two 15 minute tea breaks and half an hour for lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided - please bring your own lunch.
Venue - Marwick Hall, School Lane, Puttenham, Guildford, Surrey, GU3 1AS
Marwick Hall is easily accessed from London just off the A31.
